Delivering rapid digital campaigns, globally
Supercell is the #1 mobile game developer with just four games out on the market: Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach and Hay Day. Supercell’s games are played by more than 100 million people around the world every day. With just over 200 employees, they needed to find agile partners to help with the creation and localization of global digital campaigns to be delivered over a four week cycle for 12 to 20 markets. A fresh batch of creatives for their games including banners, HTML5 ads, videos, social media posts and text ads needed to be created within two weeks, and then designed and localized for all markets in the last two weeks of each month.
Freedman partnered with London-based digital creative agency, Waste Creative, and set up a workflow for the creation, design and localization of global campaign assets for Supercell, to be delivered on a monthly basis. Freedman set up an online proofing platform so all creative assets could be amended and approved daily by the client team. All parties were looped in, deadlines always met and status updates went smoothly. By setting up a team in San Francisco, Freedman were able to pick up creative assets completed by the team in London and manage the localization and design whilst being in the same time zone as the Supercell team in San Francisco.
Building the Freedman team in San Francisco to work closely with the client and creative partner in London has allowed Freedman to better meet the client’s needs by delivering highly creative localized ads on a very tight schedule. These global campaigns have been very important to Supercell’s continued growth.
