ABOUT YOU

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for your own project workload, managing multiple high-level projects as well as overseeing delivery of other projects across your account working alongside colleagues. You will ensure project requirements are fully defined and well planned, by creating and managing the project plan, and providing direction to all members of your project team. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for planning and coordinating all elements of individual projects to ensure that the project goals are accomplished, and client needs and expectations are always met.

You will be expected to proactively review current projects’ processes, gather your learnings as well as the team’s and optimise them on a regular basis to ensure best practise is implemented. You will also be responsible for creating new internal and external processes where you see fit for better work and communication efficiencies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Delivery

  • Lead the production of multilingual TV, Radio, print, OOH and digital campaigns for our clients to achieve their global marketing goals
  • Determine resource requirements (e.g. in-market specialists, producers, budget, timing, process)
  • Ensure management and successful delivery of client expectations, keeping all stakeholders informed of the progress of projects (internal & external) and dealing with or escalating any issues efficiently
  • Review existing processes and suggest creative ways to adapt existing project management processes to tailor them to ensure optimal client satisfaction and most efficient ways of working
  • Gather on a regular basis project learnings and define how these can be applied moving forward
  • Proactively assess project risk level and how to solve any challenges you foresee
  • Create, own and drive the project plan, managing and developing process for scope changes
  • Role model our principles, methods and Freedman tools to effectively manage projects under their accountability from start through to delivery and support team members in managing their projects
  • Define responsibilities, set direction and allocate tasks within the project team to effectively perform your work
  • Develop project management tools and processes as necessary
  • Responsible for performing client inductions and demos to Freedman tools
  • Hold responsibility for the quality of the project deliverables and communications
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the clients and their creative team, media agency and production teams
  • Develop trusted partnerships with clients, colleagues and suppliers by sharing expertise and support

Commercial/Profitability

  • Oversee financial status of live projects, reporting updates and feedback to the team and track these into our internal documents
  • Manage project budget, ensuring it is delivered in line with target margin and seeking to maximise revenue through efficient project delivery (profit margin)
  • Provide weekly reporting/monitoring of project performance including financial updates
  • Spot opportunities for new projects and create an approach and process for unlocking the work
  • Contribute to business development efforts through project scoping, estimating and planning, and attending sales calls when required
  • Communicate ideas and industry trends on particular subject matter to colleagues through informal communication and formal presentations and training sessions
  • Once the above as internally reviewed and approved, present them to client teams

People

  • Manage project team deliverables and provide day to day leadership on your projects and/or delivery area, managing multiple workstreams and colleagues
  • Guide a project team, demonstrating leadership skills in addressing delivery and performance issues and undertake tasks to build team morale
  • Ensure team collaboration & foster a positive environment
  • Champion the importance of teamwork and motivate others around them
  • Assist with the coaching and development of Project Executives across accounts
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and releases, sharing these with the wider team
  • Motivate, empower, and inspire others around you, exemplifying Freedman’s values

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE/KNOW

  • A strong understanding of localisation and campaign planning from brief to delivery
  • Experience working on global campaigns associated with marketing pieces and implementation for multiple markets
  • Key understanding of, and experience working on, high volume or complex asset B2B/B2C accounts
  • Ability to brief and manage the production of HTML5 banners, videos, print or social images
  • Demonstrable, strong experience managing/owning budgets
  • Demonstrable experience resourcing for projects across a range of disciplines e.g. designers, developers, QC
  • Experience implementing efficient working processes to achieve effective collaboration
  • Ability to cut through and resolve large volume, complex project management situations
  • Demonstrable experience of, and ability to, win repeat business within client or account
  • Understanding of specification requirements for campaign asset types e.g. HTLM5 or PRIN
  • Strong understanding of finance systems, estimations, quotes and invoices
  • Experience mentoring, training and nurturing more junior members of the team
  • Strong relationship building skills both internally and client-facing
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and growing business, act on direction and rapidly implement changes
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Exceptional attention to detail and/or experience performing output quality control
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills
